Godwin's Law

I know I know..two posts in a day.

Someone shared this with me today...

(I too was skeptical of it's authenticity, but snopes cleared it up... )

And while this is PERFECT Godwin's Law fodder for any argument against Bush and Cheney... it's also a little freaky.

Religous Freedom Yea!

I just found (via digg) another great example of the use of Religious Freedom in this country. Like most people, I believe that my chosen faith is the right path to take. (How many people follow a belief system they think is WRONG? Silly) But, I totally respect the right of others to believe in different ways. Wasn't this country founded to provide people a place to worship as they deem appropriate? Why on earth would anyone be offended to hear a prayer offered by someone of another faith? If the guy was praying to Scooby for world peace and illumination, what difference does it make? The point of prayer is for ME to communicate to MY god. All I need to do is substitute my God for Scooby...

I hate to lump folks together, but in this case these practictioners of the religious right...are not.

And all Americans should feel just a bit of shame that this took place in our seat of government....
